The Return to God — and to reality
"It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings to search out a matter." (Proverbs 25:2)
Most people treat their worldview like a house that only needs a fresh coat of paint. A teacher I learned from put it another way: sometimes the contractor shows up with a bulldozer. The foundations are wrong. Cosmetic religion, borrowed myths, and comfortable half-truths will not hold.
These writings are for anyone willing to rethink that house — long-time Christian or not. If you already claim Christ, this is a call to quit lukewarm remodeling and get serious about truth. If you do not, you are still welcome: bring your questions, your occult curiosity, your science, your doubts. The aim is the same — tear down what cannot stand, and rebuild toward reality as God sees it.
“Return to God” here is not a private club slogan. For some it means coming back; for others it means coming for the first time; for all of us it means letting truth rearrange the floor plan.
Scripture saw our moment coming:
The time of verses 3 and 4 HAS ALREADY COME — in churches I know, and wherever people gather teachers who only tickle their ears.

I must have, since you are still reading. If our churches have become so inadequate in equipping the saints to do and become what God meant us to — what can you do?
In these Last Days before Christ’s return, you will likely not find a single Christian who has not compromised his mission in some way before God. Nevertheless, support Christians God has gifted who are at least trying to minister without compromise. Regularly attend the best Biblical church you can find. Keep encouraging the leadership not to be controlled doctrinally by the money-givers, or by lust for higher attendance. Encourage your pastor not to fear losing retirement money by standing up for the truth in his church (this is a bigger problem than you might imagine). Share the wisdom of God you learn with others one-on-one, and teach it in a class if God has so gifted you.
I do not expect every Christian to agree with everything I post. Numerous believers have told me these articles helped their understanding of the Bible and their walk with God. It is my hope and prayer that you too will be helped — as you try to overcome the pitfalls of “Punch and Cookie” Christianity, through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Because most Christians’ spiritual guard has been down, we have let many apostates (wolves in sheep’s clothing) not only creep into our churches, but become our ministers.
Most churches today are now like this. Instead of a focus on what the Bible really says, many have watered it down and perverted the Gospel.

Most Christians think those causing divisions are the ones who irritate others with details from the Bible. Think again.
